Christian Profile

Sherline Jones accepted Jesus Christ at an early age and has actively served in Christian ministry for more than 20 years. Throughout her ministry journey, she has served in numerous capacities, including minister, intercessor, singer-psalmist, songwriter, motivational speaker, and author.

Ms. Jones considers it a humble blessing to have served in various respected ministries within the Body of Christ under pastors and spiritual leaders who demonstrated a sincere love for God and His people. These experiences have contributed significantly to her spiritual development, leadership experience, and commitment to Christian service.

Her early ministry experience began under the leadership of her late father, Dr. Andrew Jones, and her mother, Earline Jones, at the former Greater Temple Baptist Church in Sacramento, California. While serving there, Ms. Jones assisted her father as his personal assistant in his home office and served as choir director, pianist, youth treasurer, and events coordinator.

Ms. Jones later served at This Is Pentecost Ministries in Sacramento, California, under the leadership of the late Bishop Donald Curlin and Dr. Tamara Bennett, who is now married to Elder Chef Quentin Bennett. During her time with the ministry, she served in worship ministry and as an altar assistant.

Her ministry journey also included service with Global Destiny Ministries in Atlanta, Georgia, under the leadership of Dr. Juanita Bynum, Bishop Thomas Weeks III, and later Prophetess Christina Glenn Weeks, as well as service with The Warehouse in Norcross, Georgia. Her responsibilities included serving on the worship team, serving as an early-service worship leader, altar assistant, transcriber, call center team member, and participant in the intercessory prayer ministry.

Ms. Jones also served at the late Bishop Iona Locke, Abyssinia’s Christ-Centered Ministries in Southfield, Michigan, where she served as both a worship team member and worship leader. During this period, she also had the opportunity to serve the late Dr. Gertrude Stacks in her evangelistic ministry. Her service included assisting wherever needed, including responsibilities as an altar assistant and singer.

At Lighthouse Full Life Center in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Bishop Marvin Sapp appointed Ms. Jones to serve on the worship team. Her commitment to the ministry expanded to include service with the choir, Birthing Team, and Ministerial Alliance.

Ms. Jones later served at Perfecting Church in Detroit, Michigan, under the leadership of Bishop Marvin Winans and Lady Deneen Winans. She was blessed to serve within the Catering Department and the Academy to Perfecting. Her service also extended beyond the walls of the church through her voluntary participation in community outreach initiatives associated with the Perfecting Care and Evangelism Department.

Throughout her years of ministry service, Ms. Jones has received spiritual instruction, mentorship, and impartation from many respected leaders within the Christian community. In addition to the leaders previously mentioned, her ministry experiences provided opportunities to receive spiritual impartation associated with the ministries of the late Dr. Mother Estella Boyd, the late Bishop Jessie Stacks, and the late Dr. Gertrude Stacks.

Ms. Jones’s Christian journey later includes being a part of a congregation where she continued to deepen her relationship with God and the work of the Holy Spirit. Certain details are intentionally withheld to protect the privacy of parishioners and others associated with those faith communities. Her dedication to love God despite challenges represents another meaningful chapter in her continuing spiritual journey and commitment to serving God.
